Personal archive utility
Private research archives in Google Drive.
Manifold Archives backs up completed research databases to the owner's Google Drive account and checks that the stored copies can be read back correctly.
What the app does
The utility compresses completed databases, uploads the archives and their verification records, and reads the uploaded files to check their integrity. Archived files can later be downloaded for recovery or research.
Active databases stay on the owner's computer or server. Local copies eligible for removal are deleted only after the configured retention and verification checks pass.
Google Drive access
The app uses Google's authorization screen to request permission to create and manage its archive files. Its configured access is limited to files it creates or files explicitly made available to it, rather than every file in the account.
Read the privacy policy for details about permissions, storage, retention, and revoking access.
Personal use
This utility is operated by Christian Neisler for his own research archives. This website provides information about the app; it does not offer public account registration or access to archive files.
